Jenn McKay, the owner of Canine Aspirations, has been an animal lover her whole life, and has been pet-sitting for neighbors since elementary school. Jenn's life has always involved volunteering with animal rescue organizations, including Buddy Dog Humane Society, and more recently Save a Dog. Her past work positions have included running her own pet-sitting business in MA for almost 6 yrs, managing Feathers: The Ultimate Pet Bird Store, working at Gemini Dog Training and Daycare in Littleton, and a brief position as a veterinary assistant.

How "Green" is Canine Aspirations?
Jenn had to wait until her 11th Christmas before getting her first pet. Ribbons her cockapoo, was her Christmas present from her mom. In high school, Jenn got interested in birds, and in her sophomore year in high school she got her first bird, an English Budgie, she named Caeli. Caeli was soon followed by Nimbi, another English Budgie, and then Peaches, her Peach-fronted conure. More dogs followed, another cockapoo puppy Bela, her junior year, and then came Frosty, an 11-month old Chinese Crested Powderpuff from Save a Dog. For high school graduation Jenn got another pet she always wanted, a mini-lop rabbit named Risi.
Jenn's household currently includes a 5-year-old Chinese Crested Powderpuff, Orion, a 2-year-old rough collie, Tara, Rowdy, a 4-year-old Yellow-naped Amazon, Peaches, a 12-year-old Peach-fronted Conure, 3 American Parakeets, Cutie, Dharma, Hemlock, and Risi her rabbit. Her household has included other birds, rabbits, dogs and fish. Jenn donates regularly to animal rescues and conservation. Jenn has also attended various classes, seminars and read many, many books. She also regularly fosters dogs for rescue groups and works with them on basic training.
